Excellent location in the heart of Gion, the most well-known geisha area in the country. Perfect location.easy to find. You can even walk from Kyoto train/bus station. On the bank of the river, so you cannot lose yourself. Across the bridge you can rent a bike. The staff at the 24-hour front desk were extremely helpful and friendly. They spoke English and Japanese fluently and provided practical information about the area. It was like having my own personal concierge at my service. The property had a wide range of facilities to make my stay pleasant. The shared lounge was a cozy space to relax and unwind. The complimentary wireless Internet access allowed me to stay connected. And the vending machine came in handy for a quick snack or drink.
Noisy street nearby.

I absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. The decoration was charming and gave me a sense of tranquility throughout my stay. The general areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people like myself, with no stairs to climb and spacious hallways. It was a delightful environment to relax and unwind.
I would have appreciated if the children working there could have been a bit more attentive to the needs of senior guests.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Japan that exceeded my expectations. the location was fantastic, with the hotel being close to many popular attractions and right next to a subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The rooms were comfortable, with Western-style beds and adequate storage space, which was a nice touch. On the 7th floor, my room had a window that offered a lovely view of the city skyline. Additionally, the breakfast provided a great assortment of options to start the day off right.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was absolutely fine.

As a budget traveler, I loved the comfortable and clean room with Japanese-style bed and a cozy sofa. The smallish bathroom was perfect for my needs. The hotel provided clean towels everyday and a traditional robe for use within the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the dining room was open all the time for tea, coffee, and soft drinks. The friendly and attentive staff made my stay truly memorable.
Felt welcomed, no complaints.

Amazing breakfast and great location. The breakfast offered at this hotel was simply amazing! There were so many different food options to choose from that it was hard to pick just one dish. the location of the hotel was great as it was only a short walk away from many popular tourist spots and restaurants. Another advantage that I enjoyed was the friendly staff who were always happy to help.
Poor room ventilation and uncomfortable bed. Unfortunately, the room that I stayed in had poor ventilation which made it feel stuffy and uncomfortable.

During my recent stay at Urbain Kyoto Kiyomizu Gojo, I had a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, close to the famous Gion street and Kiyomizudera temple. Despite the compact size of the room, it was clean, cute, and comfortable. The bed, in particular, was Japanese style and provided a cozy night's sleep. The hotel also offered a continental breakfast with a decent selection of options, which was a nice start to the day. The staff were friendly and could speak English, making communication a breeze. One thing that stood out was the hotel's willingness to go the extra mile - they stored my luggage after check-out and even let me borrow an umbrella on a rainy day. I highly recommend Urbain Kyoto Kiyomizu Gojo for anyone visiting Kyoto.

The breakfast is delicious, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with traditional Japanese decor and robes provided.
The rooms may be small, and the beds might be too low to the floor for some guests.
